I am running for State Senate, District 10, here in Oklahoma. I have served in the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm/Desert Shield) United States Navy. I have been married for 21 years and have three children. I am a CASA Volunteer and a Mentor at the Thunderbird Youth Academy. I have also pastored a mission church, ministering on the streets through some of the toughest obstacles. I currently run our family business in construction.
Some of you may ask, “Why run for State Senate? What are you going to do once elected? How do you propose to do this?”
I am running for State Senate because I am a patriot. As a patriot, I believe in state sovereignty, constitutionally limited government, enumerated and separate powers, individual and unalienable rights, self-reliance, personal responsibility and respect for life and private property. I cannot sit and watch what is happening to our country and state of Oklahoma. This current government has been usurping and expanding their power in such a way that breaks the laws of our U.S. and Oklahoma Constitutions. Everything from endless spending, and we the people being the ones to pay the tab, to infringing upon the rights of the private and commercial farmers by tracking every animal, including domestic, on a computerized system from birth to death (NAIS) for the sake of “public safety”. This is a smoke screen for another system used in tracking our personal freedoms and civil liberties, which is also another hidden agenda for taxation. Let us not forget, our state is governed OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people.
Once elected, I will do for the people only what they voice to have done. Like many other states, the Oklahoma State budget is out of control ($1.3 billion in debt) with no plan to reduce spending other than raising revenue (taxes) and/or tapping into Rainy Day Funds and stimulus money. Consider this, 36,000 jobs have left Oklahoma in the last eighteen months and over 7,500 state jobs have been added. The people are not for this, therefore I am opposed. State politicians are wanting a “super highway/trans-corridor” through our state to be built by foreign contractors and monitored by international police agencies, while being funded by the American people. This walks hand in hand with the Real ID Act and is a direct attack on our state’s sovereignty. The people are not for this, therefore I am opposed. Our 2nd Amendment right is being called into question. The people are not for this, therefore I am opposed. We the people have a right to bear arms and protect our property. I heard a wise man say, “An armed society is a polite society,” and I agree. I will support only what will benefit our freedoms, individual liberties and limited government.
To accomplish this, I need your help. This process is not just my responsibility, but all of our efforts collectively to take back and restore our God given civil liberties and freedoms to which our founding forefathers fought and protected. We are all in this together and now is not the time for apathy or complacency. Help make our voices heard through your financial and spiritual support.
